Steven Dorff is one fine-looking piece of work, but unfortunately, he's also one of those actors whose careers are more often judged by the scope rather than the depth of their performances.And it's no lie that Mr. Dorff has had a wildly varied run across nearly every film genre and character type. We're talking everything from creeply crawly gothic (Blade) to downright slapstick (Space Truckers) with a dose of drag (I Shot Andy Warhol) and more than a fine bit of hard-core villany (Shadowboxer) added to the mix.
And it's the latter film (released just this summer) that finally provides a long-awaited look at one of Stephen's less, well, obvious talents...and let's not mince words here, it's a look that was well worth the wait. The fact is that a naked full-frontal Stephen Dorff -- replete with condom -- is, as the cap below demonstrates, way more than just another addition to a wide and varied repertoir, why, it verges on a virtual breakthrough!
POSTCRIPT: And then there's the question of Stephen's ever disappearing and re-appearing body hair. Now you see it and now you don't. While my personal prefs generally incline to the smooth, I have to admit that this is one case where I actually think this dude is way more sexy with a furry chest and belly than not.
